astrangetwistofstupidity: I apologise if my question annoys or offends you, but are you really a Duke, or is that a nickname of some sort?

People have become accustomed to calling me by it and in turn I’ve grown used to answering to it—if you must know, it is an appellation that isn’t entirely accurate at this time. I am not sovereign, as it were; no land calls me its master. If I were to define my place in court I would likely refer to myself as ‘disenfranchised nobility’. Take that as you will.

I apologise for how long it has taken for me to attend to my messages. I have been avoiding this place in an attempt to wait out my doppelgänger, and it would seem I have finally waited long enough.

astrangetwistofstupidity: Some fans can be more than just strange. They can be scary, obsessive and ridiculous. Like some anime fangirls... -___-"
Although, it seems to me that your Doppelgänger is a fan trying to role-play your character.
No doubt you may have noticed his the way he talks, and the somewhat inaccurate images he posts. He has an image of 80's era David Bowie tagged as you.
And the URL he's chosen for himself is 'the-thinwhiteduke' which to me suggests that he had to compromise upon realising that your name had already been taken, by you.
But that's just my take on the situation. :D

Astute observations, though mostly ones I’d already made myself from what I’ve seen of his page.

The inaccuracies in particular are slightly amusing to me - however, I remain wary. I know of at least one other on this website who is having a similar problem with an apparent doppelgänger, and one can never be too careful. Even with so-called ‘fans’.

astrangetwistofstupidity: I guess you're right to be a little suspicious of your impostor...I probably would be if I were in your place. But perhaps they're a fan of yours? :D

It’s a rather strange way to be a fan of someone, if such is the case. But perhaps you are right.

loosifur-sem: Hello sir! How are you to-day, if I may ask?

Hello. This is such a popular question for some reason - I am fine, I suppose. I have been doing a little reading. However, in the last hour or so I have begun to have reason to believe there might be someone lurking about in the back garden; I can’t quite bring myself to check at the moment.

tvc15tookme: Hello!
Thank you for your reply to my enquiry. Yes, I suppose in one way, you have satisfied a part of my curiosity. However you have also piqued and stimulated me in other ways... I mean... my curiosity... of course!... (among other things). I would truely love to find out more about you, however I would be horrified at myself if I offended you or irritated you with my chatter... or... um... attentions.
Kindest Regards,
Miss Tvc15tm xx

Have I? And I was hardly trying to - imagine if I had been.

You’re not irritating me at the moment. I reserve the right to change that judgement if you start… prying, however. As public an avenue as this is, I must be careful in what I reveal. You understand, of course.

astrangetwistofstupidity: Thankyou Sir, for the follow. Much appreciated. :)
How are you liking Tumblr?

You’re welcome.

Tumblr? I find it… interesting, as well as slightly unsettling - the act of ‘following’ especially, and the fact that here there is also some sort of impostor pretending to be me. But it is fascinating, I will admit.
